Fresh from a brilliant Anti-Bullying Week, our school rounded off the week with another powerful moment of togetherness as students and staff joined forces to support Children in Need. The afternoon that followed was filled with fun, laughter and genuine connection—an experience that captured not only the spirit of the national campaign, but also the heart of our school community.

Children in Need is a charity close to many of us. It raises money for children and young people across the UK who are facing some of life’s biggest challenges—poverty, inequality, and difficulties linked to mental or physical health. Its mission is simple but incredibly important: to make sure every child has a safe, happy childhood and the chance to reach their potential. It’s a mission we strongly believe in, especially knowing that for some of our own students, these issues hit close to home.

Our staff threw themselves into the day, putting together an afternoon packed with activities that were all about togetherness. Students moved between arts and crafts, team quizzes, sports, and group games—each activity chosen to help them have fun, build confidence and feel part of something positive. The energy around school was fantastic: creative classrooms, competitive quiz teams, lively sports sessions and lots of smiling faces.

We finished the week feeling even more connected as a community. Anti-Bullying Week and Children in Need side by side gave our students a powerful reminder: they matter, they are supported, and they can make a real difference to one another. By showing kindness, empathy and a willingness to join in, they helped create a week full of meaning, warmth and hope.
