Bishopton PRU marked this year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning with a wonderful mix of cake, conversation, and community spirit.
Staff baked and donated an array of homemade cakes and treats, which were enjoyed by pupils and staff alike in the school library. Throughout the day, tutor groups dropped in to share a drink, enjoy the bakes, and make donations to support Macmillan’s vital work.
The event was more than just coffee and cake. Pupils took part in matching baby photos to staff, word searches and thoughtful discussions about cancer research, gaining valuable insight into the importance of fundraising and awareness. Staff supported with information and encouraged pupils to ask questions, making the day both purposeful and educational.
The atmosphere was relaxed, positive, and inclusive, with staff and students taking the opportunity to connect outside of normal lessons. Together, the school community raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support, helping to fund essential research and care for people affected by cancer.
